Jammu Police Crack Down on Hardcore Criminals: Two Notorious Offenders Booked Under PSA

JAMMU, DECEMBER 25, 2025: In a major offensive against organized crime, the Jammu Police has booked two notorious hardcore criminals from the R.S. Pura and Arnia sectors under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA). The accused, identified as Paramjeet Kumar (alias Jungi), a resident of Draptey, and Shubam Saini (alias Mundi), a resident of Arnia, have been shifted to District Jail Poonch following formal detention orders from the District Magistrate, Jammu.

Both individuals were reportedly involved in a series of criminal activities, with multiple FIRs registered against them in various police stations across the Jammu district in recent months.The decision to invoke the Public Safety Act came after the police observed that the duo consistently managed to secure bail from honorable courts, only to resume their criminal pursuits immediately upon release.

To effectively curtail their threat to public peace and safety, specialized dossiers were prepared by the SHO of Police Station Arnia and the SHO of Police Station R.S. Pura. These recommendations were reviewed and approved by the District Magistrate, Jammu, under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.

This proactive measure has been widely welcomed by local residents, who have lauded the police for their commitment to eradicating organized crime and drug peddling from the region.
