Jammu Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers in Domana Heroin Seizure
DOMANA, JAMMU – February 03, 2026In a major crackdown on the narcotics trade, the Jammu (Rural) Police apprehended three drug peddlers today during a high-alert “naka” checking operation at Nagbani Chowk, Domana.
Acting on specific intelligence, a specialized team led by Inspector Varuneshwar Singh, SHO Domana, intercepted the suspects and recovered 9.09 grams of a heroin-like substance. Among those arrested was Amit Kesar, a resident of Marh, who reportedly attempted to evade scrutiny by posing as a media professional.
The other two suspects have been identified as Gokul Singh and Daljeet Singh, both residents of the Jammu district.In addition to the narcotics, police seized ₹76,400 in cash, suspected to be illicit proceeds from drug trafficking, alongside drug paraphernalia such as foil papers and burnt currency notes.
The vehicle used for the crime, registered as JK14C/1100, has been confiscated by the authorities. Following the recovery, FIR No. 28/2026 was registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8/21/22/29) at the Domana Police Station.
An intensive investigation is currently underway to dismantle the broader network and identify both the suppliers and the local distribution links involved in this syndicate.
