Jammu Kashmir Lok Bhavan Hosts Vibrant Bihar Diwas Celebration to Honor “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”

Jammu March 22, 2026: In a spirited tribute to the cultural and historical legacy of Bihar, the Jammu Kashmir Lok Bhavan organized a grand celebration of Bihar Diwas this Sunday.

Embracing the national theme of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” the event brought together a diverse gathering of senior government officials, students, and members of the Bihari community residing in the Union Territory.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced the occasion, extending his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Bihar. During his address, he paid profound tributes to the great revolutionaries and towering personalities from the state, emphasizing their indispensable contributions to India’s independence and the subsequent building of a modern nation.

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted Bihar’s historical significance as the “shield of the nation,” tracing its influence from the era of Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya to its role as a modern epicenter for spiritual, intellectual, and economic life.

He noted that as the heartland of the ancient Magadha Empire, Bihar is once again reclaiming its glory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emerging as a key driver of innovation and comprehensive development.

Sinha also lauded the state’s profound impact on India’s industrial landscape, architecture, music, and literary traditions, concluding with a prayer for Bihar’s continued progress as a land defined by its rich historical heritage and deep-rooted knowledge.
