Jammu Civil Secretariat Expansion: CM Omar Abdullah Inaugurates New Administrative Block to Boost Infrastructure

JAMMU, March 06, 2026 — In a strategic move to modernize administrative operations, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah officially inaugurated a newly constructed block at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu today.

The project is specifically designed to augment existing office infrastructure and provide improved working facilities for government employees, addressing the growing need for more available workspace.

This expansion is expected to significantly enhance the overall functioning and administrative efficiency of the state’s executive hub.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Rameshwar Singh, and Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, among other senior officials.

By prioritizing the strengthening of the Secretariat’s physical assets, the government aims to streamline governance and foster a more productive environment for the civil service.
