JAMMU — February 09, 2026:-The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of Jammu and Kathua districts to facilitate essential maintenance and distribution works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), the power supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas of Jammu, including Biaspur, Kotli, Kalyana, Sai Kalan, Khana Chak, Abdullian, Nikowal, Salehar, and surrounding localities.
This planned shutdown is scheduled for February 11, 2026, and is expected to last from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Residents in these clusters are advised to plan their activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience during the three-hour maintenance window.In a separate notification, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), O&M Circle Kathua, has informed the public of similar outages affecting the Kathua district.
The power supply to Nud, Navodhay, and their adjacent areas will remain affected for a longer duration over two consecutive days. Specifically, the shutdown will take place on February 10 and February 11, lasting from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM each day.
The JPDCL emphasized that these maintenance protocols are critical for ensuring the long-term reliability of the power grid and enhancing the efficiency of the local distribution network.
