Jammu and Kashmir Police takes stern action against OGW’s

Awantipora 08 November :- In its continued efforts to curb anti-national and anti-social activities, Police District Awantipora launched a special drive against Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and their associates involved in providing support or logistics to terror networks.

During the course of the drive, several OGWs and suspected individuals were identified, called for questioning, counselled, and subsequently bound down under relevant sections of law. The initiative was carried out under the supervision of SDPOs concerned.The action aims to dismantle the ecosystem that provides any kind of assistance to terror outfits.

Police have reiterated that stringent legal measures will be taken against anyone found indulging in activities prejudicial to security and tranquility.

Police Awantipora appeals to the general public to extend cooperation in maintaining peace and harmony in the district and to share any information regarding anti-national activities with the nearest Police Station for prompt action.
