Israeli Air Force Strikes Basij Checkpoints in Tehran; Multiple Operatives Eliminated in Precision Raid
JERUSALEM, March 13, 2026: In a significant escalation of operations against Iranian infrastructure, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out precision airstrikes overnight targeting several military checkpoints recently established in Tehran.
According to military officials, the operation was executed based on precise intelligence after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified a consolidation of activity by Basij forces at these locations. Several soldiers and operatives were confirmed eliminated during the strikes, which aimed to dismantle the operational capabilities of the Iranian regime’s security apparatus within the capital city.
The IDF highlighted that the Basij forces are a core component of the Iranian regime’s security framework and have been responsible for orchestrating regional terror plots for years. Domestically, these forces are the primary arm used to suppress internal protests, employing severe violence, mass arrests, and lethal force against Iranian civilians.
The IAF stated that these latest strikes are part of an intensified phase of operations targeting the core foundations and key personnel of the Iranian regime, vowing to continue strikes wherever these operatives function to degrade their ability to export terror or suppress opposition.
