International Goddess Museum: SMVDSB Launches Web Portal for Expert Contributions

KATRA, February 23, 2026 — In a major move to elevate the spiritual and cultural landscape of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has officially launched a dedicated online portal to gather global expertise for its upcoming International Goddess Museum. Following approval from the Board’s 76th meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the new platform (https://suggestions.smvdsbimog.org/#/museum) invites scholars, historians, and museologists to help shape a world-class institution. This facility is envisioned as a premier center dedicated to the “Divine Feminine,” blending the rich history of the Shakti tradition with cutting-edge immersive technologies.

The proposed museum aims to be more than just a gallery; it is designed to be an experiential journey through the evolution of the Vaishno Devi Yatra and the broader philosophy of Sanatan Dharma. By integrating digital installations, interactive galleries, and light and sound shows, the Board intends to present the timeless heritage of the Holy Shrine to a global audience. The project underscores a commitment to balancing modern presentation with the deep-rooted sanctity of the pilgrimage, ensuring that the museum serves as both a repository of knowledge and a site of profound devotion.

Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer of the SMVDSB, highlighted that the portal acts as a collaborative bridge for institutions and specialists to provide research-based inputs and innovative design concepts. He emphasized the importance of scholarly depth and authenticity in creating a landmark of global repute. As the project moves forward, the Board is calling upon academic institutions and stakeholders worldwide to contribute their insights, ensuring the International Goddess Museum becomes a definitive cultural landmark for pilgrims and researchers visiting Katra.
