Inner Wheel Club Udhampur distributed Meri Kitab and organized Eye Checkup Camp – Preeti Khajuria

Udhampur:- The Inner Wheel Club Udhampur successfully organized an eye checkup camp under Project Drishti at the Government Girls High School, shivnagar Udhampur.

This project focuses on improving vision and education for underprivileged schoolchildren. The eye checkup camp was inaugurated by the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Roy, along with District President, Preeti Khajuria.

The Inner Wheel Club program began with a warm welcome ceremony, where the students sang a heartfelt welcome song in honor of Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Roy, and Inner Wheel District President, Preeti Khajuria.

The students were provided with medical cards for their future health need. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Roy, praised the Inner Wheel Club’s social work, saying that the club members are contributing to society through their work, and that by working for girls and women, we empower them. Such health camps are a commendable step towards the health of our girls. The camp provided free eye checkups for 100 students, and health cards were distributed to all participants.

Students with serious eye problems were referred to the Rotary Eye Hospital for further treatment, and female students with refractive errors will also receive free spectacles. To promote education, the club also distributed a total of 120 free notebooks to 60 students from grades 1 to 6 under the “Meri Kitab” initiative and provided medical cards for future health needs.

Fresh fruit was also distributed to all students at the school. Club President Anu Gandotra, Neelam Baigra, Vinny Khanna, Meenakshi Sharma, Harjeet Kaur, Neelam Buchcha, and other members were present.
