Katra (V. D) 19 September :- In response to severe disruptions to road traffic in the Jammu division caused by heavy rainfall and landslides, the Indian Railways has announced it will operate a special train service for the convenience of passengers.
The service will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Banihal from September 19th to October 3rd, 2025.
According to railway officials, Train No. 04688 will depart from Banihal at 11:00 AM and arrive at Katra at 1:30 PM. The return service, Train No. 04687, will depart from Katra at 1:45 PM and reach Banihal at 4:10 PM.
This special train will make stops at several intermediate stations along the route, including Reasi, Bakkal, Dugga, Savalkote, Sangaldan, Sumbar, and Khari, to ensure connectivity for passengers in the affected region.
