VISAKHAPATNAM, February 13, 2026 – Strengthening regional maritime security and neighborhood ties, the Indian Navy officially welcomed CGS Huravee, a prominent patrol vessel of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), upon its arrival at the Eastern Naval Command. The vessel’s visit to the “City of Destiny” is centered on its participation in two landmark maritime events: the International Fleet Review (IFR 2026) and the multi-nation naval exercise MILAN 2026.
This arrival marks a significant milestone in India’s “Security and Growth for All in the Region” (SAGAR) initiative, providing a platform for both navies to enhance interoperability.The presence of CGS Huravee in Indian waters underscores the robust maritime cooperation and deep-seated diplomatic engagement between India and the Maldives.
