DWARKA, February 17, 2026 — In a high-stakes maritime operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), in seamless coordination with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), intercepted and seized a suspicious speedboat carrying 203 kg of suspected narcotics.

The midnight operation took place approximately 188 km southwest of Dwarka, where the vessel, manned by two foreign nationals, attempted a daring escape toward the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) after being challenged by an ICG ship.

Following a relentless pursuit, the ICG successfully apprehended the crew and secured the contraband before it could exit Indian waters. The seized speedboat and the detained personnel have since been escorted to Porbandar, where a comprehensive interrogation of the crew and detailed laboratory analysis of the seized substance are currently underway.

This successful joint operation underscores the unwavering commitment of the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat Police toward the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India) initiative and the reinforcement of coastal security.

By disrupting the inimical intentions of these maritime law violators, authorities have once again demonstrated their capability to safeguard India’s territorial waters from international smuggling syndicates.
