Jammu, 14th August :- In a rapid response to the devastating cloudburst in Chishoti village, Kishtwar, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps has deployed troops for large-scale humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations . In an official update on X (formerly Twitter), the Corps stated, In the aftermath of a cloud burst at Chisoti Village, Kishtwar, troops of White Knight Corps swiftly mobilised for rescue & relief ops. Efforts are centred on safeguarding lives and aiding survivors.”
The Army has rushed specialized rescue teams, medical units, and relief supplies to the disaster-hit area, where flash floods triggered by the cloudburst have caused severe damage. Soldiers are conducting search operations for missing persons while providing immediate assistance to stranded villagers.
Emphasizing their commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the White Knight Corps reaffirmed its motto—”We Serve, We Protect” as troops work tirelessly alongside NDRF, SDRF, and local administration in the ongoing mission. The Army’s swift action has been crucial in stabilizing the situation, with medical camps set up to treat the injured and relief materials distributed to affected families.
