BELAGAVI, March 4, 2026 — As part of the ongoing ‘Military-Civil Fusion (MCF) Abhiyan,’ the Indian Army’s Southern Command has significantly advanced its strategic integration efforts through a high-level institutional engagement between the MARATHA Light Infantry Regimental Centre and the ITBP’s Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) School in Belagavi.

This collaborative visit was designed to foster deeper synergy between the two forces, focusing on the exchange of tactical best practices and the optimal utilization of specialized training infrastructure.

By enhancing joint preparedness for complex internal security contingencies, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions, and integrated joint operations, the initiative reinforces a “Whole-of-Nation” approach to tackling modern security challenges.

This focused cooperation underscores a shared resolve toward integrated capability development, ensuring that both military and paramilitary forces remain synchronized and ready to respond to emerging threats with unified precision.
