Indian Army Launches Computer Training Program in Banihal to Empower Local Youth

RAMBAN, December 29, 2025: In a significant move to bridge the digital divide and foster skill development, the 12 Rashtriya Rifles (Grenadiers) has launched a specialized Computer Cadre program at the ACSA Institute in Banihal. Organized under Operation Sadbhavana, the initiative aims to provide essential digital literacy to the youth of the region.

The program saw an enthusiastic kickoff with 40 students, including both boys and girls from the local community, enrolling to enhance their technical proficiency in an increasingly digital world.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) and the Zonal Education Planning Officer, who served as the Chief Guests. Representatives from the 12 Rashtriya Rifles emphasized that basic computer skills and digital awareness are now critical for unlocking modern educational and employment opportunities.

The ZEO lauded the Indian Army’s continued commitment to youth empowerment, urging the participants to utilize this platform for their academic and professional advancement. The faculty of the ACSA Institute and the participating students expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing the resources and training necessary to compete in the 21st-century job market.
