UDHAMPUR January 05 2026 :- Commemorating the 10th Veterans Day, the Indian Army’s Northern Command launched the Dhruva Motorcycle Rally from the Dhruva War Memorial in Udhampur today, following a solemn wreath-laying ceremony led by Lt Gen Pratik Sharma and distinguished gallantry award winners.

Flagged off by Honorary Captain Bana Singh (Retd), PVC, and Smt Chinta Devi, the rally covers a 740-kilometer route through the Pirpanjal region to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifices of India’s bravehearts and strengthen the bond between the military and the veteran community.
Accompanied by ‘Aarogya Rakshak’ medical teams providing health screenings and essential care to ex-servicemen along the way, the rally features senior army commanders riding alongside bikers in a show of solidarity. This deliberate outreach initiative, which promotes military-civil fusion and lifelong service, is scheduled to culminate at a Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally in Rajouri on January 13, 2026, standing as a poignant testament to the Army’s enduring gratitude and the ethos of “Service Beyond Uniform.
