Indian Army Enhances Recruitment: The Infantry School Mhow Launches DRDO-Developed C-PsySHOT for Soldier Evaluation
MHOW April 03 :- In a significant move to modernize the selection process within the Indian Army, The Infantry School, Mhow, has introduced the Computerised Psychological Test Battery, known as C-PsySHOT.
Developed and scientifically validated by the Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR)—a key wing of the Soldier Support System Cluster under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)—this advanced system is designed to act as a primary enabler for identifying the “right fit” for specialized roles within the Infantry.
By leveraging data-driven psychological profiling, the Indian Army aims to optimize human resource allocation, ensuring that soldiers are placed in positions that best match their mental aptitude and resilience.
The development of C-PsySHOT is the result of close synergy between DRDO scientists and military subject matter experts. The system was refined through the seamless integration of expert inputs, extensive field trials across diverse conditions, and rigorous on-site evaluations.
This collaborative approach ensures that the test battery is not only technologically advanced but also grounded in the practical, high-pressure realities of infantry operations.
As the Infantry continues to evolve with modern warfare requirements, this computerized battery represents a leap forward in scientific personnel management, ensuring the force remains mentally sharp and operationally effective.
