TINSUKIA, ASSAM | JANUARY 24, 2026 – To bolster security measures and ensure the safety of critical infrastructure, the Red Shield Gunners of the Spear Corps conducted a comprehensive Joint Anti-Sabotage Mock Drill at the Tinsukia Railway Station in Assam today.
The exercise was designed to test the operational readiness of security forces against potential threats in high-traffic public areas. During the drill, specialist troops simulated hostile scenarios, allowing for the practical validation of Joint Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The simulation focused on enhancing seamless coordination between various security wings, including the Assam Police, Government Railway Police (GRP), and the Civil Administration. By mimicking real-world threats, the participating agencies were able to refine their response mechanisms and communication protocols.
This proactive initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to a “whole-of-nation” approach to security, ensuring that vital transport hubs like Tinsukia remain protected through integrated vigilance and rapid-response capabilities.
