NEW DELHI, Feb 9, 2026 – In a significant move to strengthen defense cooperation with friendly foreign nations, the Indian Army has successfully installed and operationalized a state-of-the-art 12-Lane Infantry Weapon Training Simulator in Myanmar.
The project, spearheaded by a Mobile Training Team from the Simulator Development Division (SDD), was completed at the Myanmar Army Combat Forces School located in Bahtoo.
This initiative underscores India’s commitment to enhancing the military capabilities of its regional partners through technological exchange.
Beyond the hardware installation, the Indian Army team conducted an intensive training program for Myanmar Army personnel. The curriculum focused on essential operational skills, including system handling, the execution of complex combat scenarios, and routine technical maintenance.
By providing this advanced simulation technology, the Indian Army aims to refine marksmanship and tactical training standards, fostering deeper bilateral ties and ensuring long-term self-sufficiency in maintaining these sophisticated training systems.
