Citing an evolving security situation, the Embassy has reiterated that all Indian citizens and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) should exercise extreme caution, avoid protest areas, and stay in constant contact with the mission.

Nationals are also requested to keep their travel and immigration documents, such as passports and IDs, readily available at all times.

The Embassy has provided multiple emergency helpline numbers (+989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, and +989932179359) and an email address (cons.tehran@mea.gov.in) for those requiring assistance.

Furthermore, all Indian nationals in Iran who have not yet registered with the Embassy are requested to do so via the official portal. In the event of internet disruptions preventing registration within Iran, the Embassy has asked families back in India to complete the registration on behalf of their relatives.
