India and UK Strengthen Defense Ties as CDS General Anil Chauhan Meets RAF Chief

NEW DELHI, March 24, 2026 — In a significant move to bolster the strategic bilateral relationship between India and the United Kingdom, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan held high-level talks with Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth, Chief of the Air Staff of the Royal Air Force.

The interaction served to reaffirm the growing strength of the India-UK Defense Partnership, with both leaders focusing on evolving security challenges and shared military objectives.

During the meeting, General Chauhan highlighted the “Exchange of Instructors” as a fundamental pillar of their cooperation matrix, which continues to foster professional military education and tactical synergy between the two nations’ armed forces.
