SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 24: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, V. K. Birdi, officially flagged off a delegation of students from the District Police Lines today to participate in the 26th Rashtra Katha Shivir in Rajkot, Gujarat.
Organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir, the group consists of 22 students from across the Kashmir Valley, accompanied by three caretakers, who will attend the national event hosted by the Vedic Mission Trust from December 27, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by several senior officers, including DIG CKR Srinagar Rajiv Pandey and SSP Srinagar G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, marking a significant effort by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to engage the youth in national-level cultural and educational exchanges.
During an interactive session before the departure, IGP Kashmir emphasized that such exposure programs are vital for fostering national integration, social harmony, and personal growth.
He encouraged the students to embrace the diverse perspectives they will encounter and to bring back values that contribute to their overall development.
