Jammu, 15th August:- In a compassionate response to the wake of devastating Chisoti cloudburst tragedy, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Bhim Sen tuti , Div. Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, IAS, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Naresh Singh, JKPS, went to Atholi Hospital to have a word with the injured survivors and review the medical relief operations. The officials met survivors, heard their heart-wrenching accounts, and consoled them of every possible help from the administration.
As a part of the visit, they went through each of the medical treatments being administered to the injured with great care, making sure critical cases were prioritised and receiving the proper attention. They also instructed the hospital staff to provide maximum support to the victims and their families, laying a special stress on the need for rapid and effective healthcare services following the disaster.
The officials expressed solidarity with the affected families, reaffirming the government’s resolve to delivering relief and rehabilitation to the victims of the heartbreaking cloudburst. The visit highlighted the government’s active response to containing the effects of the disaster, with the authorities closely coordinating efforts to alleviate distress and achieve normalcy in the area. Additional initiatives, such as medical assistance, monetary relief, and infrastructural rebuilding, are set to be implemented in the days ahead.
