Jammu, 04 October :-A preparatory meeting was held today at the Conference Hall, Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu, under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, to review arrangements for the forthcoming National Police Commemoration Day, to be observed on October 21, 2025.
The meeting primarily focused on finalizing the schedule of events to be held at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, and Police Martyrs’ Memorial, Railway Station, Jammu. Discussions were held on ceremonial arrangements, participation of contingents, rehearsals, seating and security arrangements, traffic management, media coordination, and welfare measures for the families of martyrs. Special emphasis was laid on ensuring successful organisation of the event.
The IGP Jammu underscored the importance of the day, noting that Police Commemoration Day is not only a solemn occasion to honour the supreme sacrifices of police martyrs but also an opportunity to reinforce the bond between the police and the public. He called upon all officers to ensure that the events are conducted in a dignified and seamless manner befitting the occasion.
The meeting was attended by DIG IRP Range, DIG Armed Range, DIG JSK Range, Commandant IRP 15th Bn, Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn, SSP PCR Jammu, SSP Security Jammu, SSP Railways Jammu, SSP Jammu, Commandants of IRP 14th & 18th Bns, SSP APCR Jammu, SSP Traffic City Jammu, SSP Telecommunication Jammu, Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range, SP City North/South/HQ/Rural Jammu, Dy.SP DAR DPL Jammu, Dy.SP GOs Mess Jammu, and other senior officers. The meeting concluded with directions to all officers to work in close coordination and ensure timely completion of preparations.
