REASI, DECEMBER 28, 2025: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, visited Police Station Katra today to conduct a high-level review of the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC). During the inspection, the IGP evaluated the operational efficiency and real-time monitoring capabilities of the facility, focusing on its critical role in enhancing surveillance and emergency response coordination within the pilgrimage hub.
He emphasized that the ICCC serves as the backbone of a technology-driven security framework, ensuring a safer environment through seamless departmental integration.Highlighting the need for specialized skills, the IGP directed senior officers to implement structured training programs for ICCC staff to keep pace with evolving technological demands.
He noted that the optimal combination of advanced technology and well-trained manpower is vital for reducing response times and maintaining high operational standards. By prioritizing continuous capacity building, the department aims to leverage data-driven insights for more effective public safety management and crisis intervention.In addition to the facility review, the IGP interacted with Probationer Sub-Inspectors to discuss the shift toward modern, tech-enabled policing.
He urged the new officers to utilize modern investigative tools to ensure that cases are handled with transparency, professionalism, and speed. The review meeting was attended by a cohort of senior officials, including DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Sarah Rizvi, SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, and SSP Traffic Aadil Ahmed, along with several additional superintendents and station house officers who remain central to the region’s security apparatus.
