IGP Jammu , hails “Fantastic Investigation” leading to major arms haul in Poonch
Jammu 14 September :- In a significant counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) has arrested three terror sympathisers and recovered a major cache of weapons, including seven AK-type rifles, in the Poonch district.
The operation, which has drawn high-level praise, was announced on social media by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti. In a post on X, IGP Tuti stated Dogged determination and relentless investigation leads to the arrest of 03 terror sympathisers, along with the recovery of 07 AKs (04 recovered earlier) and a large quantity of warlike stores in Poonch.
The recovered warlike stores include a substantial quantity of ammunition and other materials, intended to disrupt the peace in the region. This seizure is a major setback for terror networks operating in the area, preventing potential attacks and violence. The IGP’s public commendation underscores the force’s continued vigilance and effectiveness in tackling terrorism and maintaining security in the Jammu region.
