JAMMU, January 16, 2026 — Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu successfully concluded a comprehensive one-week refresher training module today, aimed at streamlining the integration of police personnel recently transferred to the Jammu Zone.
The program, held at the ZPHQ Conference Hall, was specifically designed to bridge the gap between different wings of the force and the specific operational requirements of the Jammu Zone. By focusing on updated legal frameworks and current policing protocols, the initiative ensures that personnel are fully prepared for both field and administrative responsibilities.
The training program saw the participation of 71 officers, ranging from Inspectors to Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs). The curriculum was diverse, covering critical modern policing areas such as the implementation of new criminal laws, CCTNS operations, and digital policing.
Participants also received specialized instruction in forensic procedures, cybercrime investigation, and counter-terrorism tactics. This multi-disciplinary approach was intended to enhance professional competence and ensure a uniform standard of procedure across the zone.
To ensure the training was practical and engaging, the sessions featured a mix of interactive lectures and hands-on demonstrations led by subject-matter experts. These experts shared real-world insights and best practices derived from extensive field experience.
The program concluded with a valedictory briefing where Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, and Shamsheer Hussain, JKPS, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu Zone, addressed the attendees.
They emphasized the necessity of discipline, professionalism, and the strict application of their newly acquired skills in day-to-day duties.The successful execution of this refresher course was overseen by a dedicated committee of officers from ZPHQ Jammu, including Hemanshu Mahajan, Senior PO, and a team of Inspectors and PSIs.
This coordinated effort highlights the Jammu Police’s commitment to continuous professional development and its readiness to meet contemporary security and legal challenges effectively.
