Historic Victory: High Court of J&K and Ladakh Honors J&K Ranji Trophy Champions
JAMMU, MARCH 10, 2026 — In a landmark celebration of regional sporting excellence, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh officially felicitated the Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Trophy team today following their historic maiden title win in the 2025–26 season.
This monumental achievement marks the first time the team has secured the prestigious trophy since its debut in 1959, signaling a new era for cricket in the Union Territory. The ceremony was held in the distinguished presence of Chief Justice Arun Palli, alongside Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, and several other esteemed Judges of the High Court.
Also in attendance were Brigadier Anil Gupta, Member Administration of the JKCA, and Registrar General M. K. Sharma, who joined members of the Bar and other dignitaries to recognize the team’s unwavering determination and spirit.
During the event, the Chief Justice and the Bench praised the players for their discipline and teamwork, noting that this victory serves as a powerful inspiration for aspiring athletes across the nation.
To commemorate the triumph, the Judges presented a special trophy and commemorative T-shirts to the victorious squad, including Captain Paras Dogra. Speakers highlighted that this win is not merely a sports milestone but a testament to the resilience of the region’s youth.
