Himachal Pradesh Youth Show High Spirits at Mandi Agniveer Recruitment Rally​

MANDI, HIMACHAL PRADESH — March 26, 2026:-​The spirit of patriotism is soaring in “Veer Bhumi” Himachal Pradesh as the ongoing Agniveer Recruitment Rally at Pandoh continues to draw a massive response from the region’s youth. Organized by the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Mandi under the aegis of HQ Recruiting Zone Ambala, the rally has become a focal point for aspiring soldiers eager to serve the nation.

Over the last five days, approximately 2,000 candidates have demonstrated exceptional physical endurance, grit, and determination throughout the rigorous selection stages.

This surge in participation highlights the deep-rooted military tradition in Himachal Pradesh and the unwavering enthusiasm among the younger generation to join the ranks of the Indian Army.​

A significant highlight of the event occurred on March 26, when the recruitment proceedings were graced by the presence of Brigadier Khushal Thakur, YSM (Retd).

As the former Commanding Officer of the 18 Grenadiers during the historic Kargil War, Brigadier Thakur brought a sense of profound inspiration to the venue. He officially flagged off the 1.6 km run, sharing words of valor and leadership that resonated deeply with the aspirants.

His participation not only boosted the morale of the candidates but also reinforced the enduring bond between decorated veterans and the next generation of warriors.
