Higher Defence Orientation Course Delegation Visits SDD Secunderabad to Explore Simulation-Based Training
Secunderabad, April 13, 2026: A high-level international delegation from the Higher Defence Orientation Course, led by Brigadier Gurbir Singh, visited the Simulator Development Division (SDD) today to gain insights into cutting-edge military training technologies.
The delegation featured senior officers from 15 countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, Peru, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Jordan, Togo, Liberia, Uganda, Tanzania, Cambodia, Madagascar, and Venezuela.
During the visit, Brigadier Ashish Johar, Commandant of SDD, engaged with the officers to discuss indigenous capability development and the Indian Army’s strategic initiatives in simulation-based training.
The interaction focused on how niche technology domains are being harnessed to enhance combat readiness and operational efficiency.
This professional engagement served as a vital platform for sharing global best practices in technology infusion, further strengthening defense cooperation and highlighting India’s growing expertise in developing home-grown simulation solutions for modern armed forces.
