High-Altitude Readiness: Ibex Rhinos Conclude Specialized Combat Ski Cadre at Surya Battle School

AULI, Feb 21: Strengthening India’s specialized mountain warfare capabilities, the Ibex Rhinos of the Ibex Brigade have successfully completed a rigorous Combat Ski Cadre at the renowned Surya Battle School in Auli.

The training program was meticulously designed to sharpen the operational edge of troops stationed in the challenging Middle Sector, focusing on the mantra of “Ski, Survive, Strike.” Over the course of the cadre, soldiers mastered advanced snow craft, technical avalanche rescue operations, and high-speed combat patrols on skis, ensuring they can navigate the most treacherous terrain with lethal precision and tactical coordination.

The training emphasized the ability to negotiate steep gradients and sustain operations under extreme weather conditions, where resilience is considered a daily routine. By simulating high-intensity scenarios in unforgiving high-altitude environments, the cadre has further enhanced the military readiness of the Ibex Brigade to counter threats in snow-bound regions.
