Health Minister Sakeena Itoo Meets NHM Employees; Pledges Action on Service Security and Grievances
JAMMU, April 02, 2026:Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today conducted a high-level interaction with representatives of the National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Association to address critical issues regarding their welfare and working conditions.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several pressing challenges, including the need for enhanced service security, timely salary disbursement, better career progression, and more robust support systems at the workplace.
The representatives underscored the indispensable role played by NHM staff in maintaining the healthcare backbone of the Union Territory, especially their tireless service in remote and traditionally underserved regions.
