Panchkula (Haryana) 07 September :- In a significant gesture of solidarity, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with the state’s BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, today flagged off a massive convoy of relief supplies from the party’s Panchkula office for the disaster-affected families in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district.
The initiative aims to provide crucial aid to those impacted by the recent calamities in the hill state. Dr. Bindal revealed that the extensive collection of relief material was generously donated by philanthropists from Panchkula, Ambala, and surrounding areas, which was then dispatched under the direction of the Chief Minister.
The aid comprises a comprehensive assortment of essential items, including 186 quintals of rice, 153 quintals of flour, 65 quintals of sugar, 20 quintals of pulses, 20 quintals of salt, 2400 litres of cooking oil, 1000 tarpaulins, 1021 blankets, 1500 mattresses, and a substantial quantity of other vital goods such as spices, tea, biscuits, sanitary pads, utensils, and toiletries.
A total of ten loaded trucks were sent to Chamba, where the supplies will be distributed to affected families based on their needs. On behalf of the Himachal BJP family and the state’s residents, Dr. Rajiv Bindal expressed profound gratitude to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the Bharatiya Janata Party Haryana for their noble and supportive act in this time of crisis.
