BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 23: As part of the national “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, Dr. G. N. Itoo, Director of the Centre for Good Governance and Policy Analysis at IUST, chaired a comprehensive workshop on good governance practices at the DC Office Baramulla. The event, held during Good Governance Week, focused on aligning local administration with the national vision of Viksit Bharat by prioritizing accountability and effective service delivery across the district’s 402 Halqa Panchayats.
Assistant Commissioner Development Chaudhary Mudasir Hussain detailed the ongoing outreach activities, while Dr. Itoo commended the district administration’s proactive stance in promoting responsive governance. Key highlights included the presentation of the “Jhelum Se Chinab Tak” podcast series by DIO Iftakhar Ahmad, showcasing it as a modern tool for improving transparency and public awareness. The workshop concluded with a collective pledge by government officers to remain accessible to the public, ensuring that meaningful citizen participation remains at the heart of the governance process.
