GOC 41 Sub Area Flags Off “The Eastern Edge Expedition” Bike Rally from Jorhat to Shillong
JORHAT, Feb 20, 2026:-The GOC 41 Sub Area officially flagged off “The Eastern Edge Expedition” on February 19, 2026, marking the start of a high-octane motorcycle rally traveling from Jorhat to Shillong. Conducted under the umbrella of Operation Sadbhavana, this initiative is a collaborative effort between the Assam Rifles and Hero MotoCorp.
The expedition features a dedicated team of 24 riders—comprising 12 personnel from the Assam Rifles and 12 representatives from Hero MotoCorp—serving as a powerful symbol of civil-military synergy and shared purpose.
As the riders traverse the challenging and rugged terrains of the Northeast, the journey aims to do much more than test their endurance. The expedition is designed to celebrate the spirit of resilience and camaraderie inherent to the region while actively promoting adventure tourism and regional connectivity.
By engaging with local communities along the route, the rally fosters youth empowerment and strengthens the bond of national integration, showcasing the vibrant culture and strategic importance of India’s eastern frontier.
