Udhampur 24 November :- Udhampur Police today facilitated 29 girls from the remote Moungri and Pancheri areas of the district, who recently won 8 Gold, 10 Silver and 11 Bronze medals at the National Karate Championship.
Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, I/C DIG U-R Range honoured the medal-winning girls and appreciated their outstanding efforts which led to an impressive performance at both individual and team levels. He also assured full support to these talented players in the future.
Addl. SP Udhampur and DySP Headquarters were also present on the occasion.Despite belonging to rural and hilly regions, these girls practised consistently for months under challenging conditions and secured 1st position at the National Level Karate Championship held in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
All the players were trained by Head Coach Ravinder Jamwal, Coach Priyanka Jamwal along with Team Manager Kailash Dutt.The championship was organized by the International Shito-Karate Organisation of India.
