Ghaziabad Tragedy: Three Minor Sisters Die by Suicide Linked to Online Gaming Addiction

GHAZIABAD, Feb 4, 2026 — In a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves through the region, three minor sisters, identified as Pakhi (12), Prachi (14), and Vishika (16), allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the ninth-floor balcony of their apartment in Bharat City Society at approximately 2:00 AM today.

Preliminary police investigations suggest the sisters were deeply influenced by a task-based Korean online “lover” game that they had played obsessively since the COVID-19 pandemic.

An eight-page suicide note recovered by the authorities expressed the girls’ extreme devotion to the game, stating, “Korea is our life… we cannot give it up,” and apologizing to their father for their decision.

The father revealed that the obsession led the girls to quit school and adopt Korean names, performing every daily activity in unison as part of the game’s alleged requirements.

While a formal probe is underway to determine the exact nature of the game and its role in encouraging self-harm, the tragedy serves as a grim warning regarding the dangers of unsupervised digital consumption among minors. This is a deeply sensitive topic.
