Anantnag, October 13.The Hon’ble Special Judge under the NIA Act, Anantnag, has issued a General Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against Zaffar Bhat alias Khursheed, son of Sana Ullah Bhat, resident of Lewar, Srigufwara, on a request moved by Anantnag Police.
Zaffar Bhat is a senior member of the banned organisation Hizbul Mujahideen and is presently operating from Pakistan. He has been involved in multiple terror-related cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and other relevant laws.The Hon’ble Court has directed Anantnag Police to take all necessary steps to secure his presence before the court at the earliest.This development marks another step in the ongoing efforts of Anantnag Police to bring absconding terrorists to justice and to strengthen peace and security in the district.
