GDC Ganderbal hosts Debate, Naat Competition to mark Eid-e-Milad (PBUH)
GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 11: Marking the occasion of Eid–e-Milad (PBUH), Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal reverberated with soulful recitations and thought-provoking deliberations as the Departments of Islamic Studies, Urdu, and Kashmiri jointly organized a Debate and Naat Competition.
The event sought to celebrate spiritual heritage, ignite intellectual reflection, and reaffirm the timeless relevance of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) teachings.
Principal of the institution, Prof. Fouzia Fatima, patronized the event. In her address, Principal emphasized that the Prophet (PBUH) remains an enduring source of inspiration in the modern age.
In his opening remarks, Convener of the event, Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Parray reminded the audience that “in a world desperately searching for meaning, the Prophet’s message of mercy continues to offer humanity a way forward.”
The Naat competition featured ten participants whose heartfelt recitations moved the audience. The jury declared Shahid Qadir Lone (1st Semester), Muneeb Javid Mir (5th Semester), and Arsalan Nazir (7th Semester) as the top three performers.
