UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 02: District Administration Udhampur organized an impressive function at District headquarter to mark the conclusion of the fortnight-long Sewa Parv celebrations.
The event witnessed the participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch, along with other senior officers, beneficiaries, farmers, students and school staff members.
During the programme, the DC distributed nutrition kits to TB patients and interacted with them. She also handed over sanction letters and keys under PMAY-Urban, PMAY-Gramin and HADP schemes to the beneficiaries. Officers of the District Administration who voluntarily registered as Ni-Kshay Mitras to support TB patients were felicitated, while Safai Karamcharis were honoured with T-shirts and caps in recognition of their dedicated service.
As part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness campaign, the DC flagged off Mobile Van and Auto Rickshaws carrying TB awareness messages and also pasted TB awareness stickers on vehicles.While addressing the participants, the DC extended greetings on the occasions of Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti.
She commended the tireless efforts of all departments in ensuring the successful culmination of Sewa Parv in Udhampur District. She further highlighted the teachings and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, stressing his lifelong dedication to uplifting the poor and downtrodden.
The DC appealed to the public to maintain cleanliness, promote proper waste disposal and actively participate in keeping Udhampur neat and hygienic. She also urged citizens to come forward and voluntarily register as Ni-Kshay Mitras to support TB patients, thereby contributing to the national mission of building a TB-free India.
