Farooq Abdullah Visits Iranian Embassy: JKNC Delegation Pays Tribute to Late Supreme Leader
NEW DELHI, March 10, 2026 — Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi today to offer formal condolences following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Spiritual and Supreme Leader of Iran.
During the visit, Dr. Abdullah signed the official condolence book, expressing the profound sympathies of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He lauded the late leader’s spiritual influence and extended his heartfelt support to the Iranian government and its citizens during this period of national mourning.
The JKNC President was accompanied by a high-level delegation of Members of Parliament, including Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi.
The delegation held a meeting with the Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, where they reaffirmed their solidarity with the people of Iran.
