Exercise Ashni Yoddha: Kharga Corps Validates Advanced ASHNI Platoon Capabilities in High-Stakes Tactical Drill

AMBALA, February 23, 2026 — In a major step toward modernizing tactical combat operations, the Indian Army’s Kharga Corps has successfully validated the operational readiness of its newly raised ASHNI Platoons through the high-intensity Exercise Ashni Yoddha.

This Inter-Battalion competition served as a rigorous testing ground where the specialized units demonstrated “unmatched surveillance and precision engagement capabilities,” effectively redefining the tactical battlefield by directly integrating with and accelerating the tempo of ground maneuvers.

Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, GOC Kharga Corps, personally overseen the exercise, commending the participating teams for their technical proficiency and felicitating the winners for their role in enhancing the Army’s localized combat lethality.

By bridging the gap between traditional infantry tactics and modern technological warfare, the successful conclusion of Exercise Ashni Yoddha marks a significant milestone in the Indian Army’s commitment to achieving a decisive edge through real-time intelligence and superior precision on the front lines.
