Exercise AMOGH JWALA: Southern Command Validates Future-Ready Combat Power at Babina
BABINA, March 18, 2026 — Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, oversaw the successful culmination of Exercise AMOGH JWALA today at the Babina Field Firing Ranges.
This high-intensity military drill was designed to validate cutting-edge operational concepts and modernized force structures, ensuring the Indian Army remains prepared for the complexities of modern warfare.
By testing new protocols and procedures in a live-fire environment, the exercise highlighted the Southern Command’s transition toward a more agile and technologically integrated fighting force.Executed by the White Tiger Division, the exercise featured high-tempo mechanized operations that seamlessly integrated a multi-domain array of assets.
The battlefield saw the synchronized employment of Attack Helicopters, Fighter Aircraft, and advanced drone systems, alongside sophisticated counter-drone and Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies. Real-time drone-enabled surveillance and precision target acquisition were central to the maneuvers, demonstrating the Army’s growing combat edge in a networked environment.
The seamless coordination between Air Defense (AD) and night-fighting capabilities further proved the force’s ability to dominate the battlespace under any conditions.Following the maneuvers, the Army Commander commended the troops for their exceptional professionalism and battle readiness.
Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth emphasized that “Tech Absorption” and “Jointness” are the pillars of the future force, stressing the need for the seamless integration of land, air, cyber, and space capabilities.
