Even after two months of rain, the Upper Guddhar road remain uncleaned – Priti Khajuria

Udhampur 30 October :- Priti Khajuria expressed deep concern today about the lack of cleaning of the Upper Guddar road in the Darsoo Guddar area, even after two months of the rainy season. She explained that recently, she visited Darsoo Guddar and met with local residents, who raised their concerns with her.

Along with Deputation of Upper Guddhar area Priti Khajuria met with DC Saloni Rai and apprised her of the condition of the PMGSY road there. Due to the lack of cleaning of the Guddar road , local residents are facing difficulties in bringing fodder for their animals. If someone falls ill, they face difficulties in reaching the main road.

Children are also having to walk longer distances to school. The lack of cleaning of the road is not only creating difficulties in the daily lives of citizens but also inviting serious health risks. It is making it difficult for the elderly and children to move around.

This also poses a risk of accidents.”She further said, “Local residents have brought this problem to the attention of department officials, but no concrete action has been taken so far. This situation clearly shows that the department is not paying adequate attention to civic amenities.

Priti Khajuria urged DC Saloni Rai to take appropriate steps so that the residents can get relief as soon as possible.Priti Khajuria urged the local people to show solidarity and raise their voice for their rights until they get relief.
