EOW Kashmir Files Chargesheet Against Four for Multi-Lakh Medical Admission Fraud

SRINAGAR, Feb 20, 2026: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Srinagar, a specialized unit of the Crime Branch Jammu & Kashmir, has formally submitted a chargesheet against four individuals accused of orchestrating a high-stakes cheating and criminal conspiracy.

The charges, filed under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, follow an intensive investigation into a fraudulent medical admission scheme.

The accused—identified as Peerzada Aabid, Syed Wasim (Proprietor of M/s Europe Consultancy Centre), Syed Suhail Aijaz, and Zaigam Khan (owners of Overseas Consultancy)—allegedly misled a complainant by promising to facilitate his son’s admission to a medical college in Bangladesh.

The investigation revealed a calculated breach of trust that began when the complainant was introduced to the consultants through a relative.

Under the guise of legitimate educational consultancy, the accused collected lakhs of rupees intended for tuition fees at Park View Medical College.

However, the EOW found that the group diverted the majority of the funds, depositing only $8,000 (approximately ₹6.04 lakhs) with the institution. This significant shortfall led to the student being forced to leave the college prematurely.

Backed by bank records, official correspondence from the medical college, and witness statements, the Crime Branch has concluded that the allegations of fraud are fully substantiated, moving the case forward for judicial adjudication.
