Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Jammu Camp 2026: NCC Cadets Celebrate National Unity in Nagrota
JAMMU, January 14, 2026 — The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Camp officially commenced today at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota, marking the start of a vibrant cultural exchange between cadets from the Rajasthan and Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorates.
Organized by the 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, the camp is scheduled to run until January 25, 2026. The initiative serves as a powerful platform for young leaders to showcase the diverse traditions and heritage of their respective regions, fostering a deeper sense of national integration.
During the opening ceremony, Muneesh Jasrotia, Commanding Officer of the 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC, urged the cadets to internalize the core NCC values of “Unity and Discipline,” encouraging them to build lifelong friendships that transcend regional borders.
The camp features a dynamic curriculum designed to highlight the unique languages, cuisines, and lifestyles of the participating states. Beyond classroom learning and traditional drill practice, the cadets will participate in “Jammu Darshan,” an experiential tour including visits to the Gharana Wetlands to study ecological conservation and the Suchetgarh Border Outpost (BOP) to observe the operational dedication of the Border Security Force (BSF).
Additionally, the itinerary includes a trek to the Trikuta Hills to build physical resilience and teamwork. Through a series of competitive sports and literary events, EBSB Jammu aims to celebrate India’s collective soul, ensuring that diversity remains a source of strength and unity for the next generation of citizens.
