ED Arrests Former MUDA Commissioner in ₹400 Crore Land Scam

Karnataka 17 September :- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Dinesh Kumar, the former Commissioner of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), in connection with a massive ₹400 crore land allotment scam.

The arrest followed a day-long interrogation that began after Kumar was summoned to the ED office; he was subsequently taken into custody from his residence in Bengaluru’s Hebbal area around 10 pm.

The investigation, which was initiated based on a request from Karnataka Lokayukta officials and sanctioned by the state government, had previously led to the attachment of properties belonging to the accused official.
