New Delhi 06 October :- The schedule for bye-elections to fill two vacant assembly seats in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir was released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday.
On November 11, the elections for the 77-Nagrota and 27-Budgam seats will take place. On November 14, the votes for both constituencies will be counted.
While the Nagrota Assembly Constituency became vacant after the passing of its current MLA , Davender Singh Rana, the Budgam seat became vacant after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah vacated it, choosing to retain the Ganderbal seat following his victory from both constituencies in last year’s Assembly election.
