GOOL, FEBRUARY 8, 2026 — In a major breakthrough for its ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, the Ramban Police successfully apprehended an individual and seized heroin-like contraband during a strategic checkpoint operation in the Sangaldan area. On Saturday, a police team from Police Post Sangaldan intercepted a Maruti Eeco vehicle at Tata Pani Road for routine inspection.
During the search, officers recovered a significant quantity of suspected heroin along with an electronic weighing machine from the driver, identified as Muzaffer Hussain, a resident of Haila Dharam. The suspect was immediately taken into custody, and the vehicle, along with the incriminating materials, was seized under standard legal protocols.
Consequently, a formal case has been registered under FIR No. 04/2026 at Police Station Gool, invoking Sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act. As investigations continue to dismantle the local distribution network and identify the supply source, the Ramban Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities to the authorities.
