KATHUA, 13 November : In its drive against the drugs & its propagators,J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma -IPS today seized approx. 90.23 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics & 01 drug peddler was arrested at Korepunnu area of PS Rajbagh.
Police team led by SHO PS Rajbagh Insp. Ajay Singh Chib under the guidance of SP Ops. Kathua Mukund Tibrewal IPS & SDPO Border Dheeraj Katoch laid Naka in its jurisdictional area at Korepunnu and apprehended one suspect enrouted under suspicious circumstances.
During enquiry, he disclosed his name as Liaqat Ali S/o Jamal Din R/o Kullian Tehsil & District Kathua.
During checking, approx. 90.23 grams of Heroine(Chitta) -like substance recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 220/2025 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act registered at PS Rajbagh and further investigation in the case is going on.
J&K Police Kathua again requested people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
